What type of fitness classes do you offer?Wingnut offers outdoor HIIT circuits and weight training, open water swimming classes and drowing prevention classes.

Where are your classes held?Based in Marlow, we have access to many locations that are perfect for outdoor fitness and open water swimming in the River Thames. We make sure you know the locations before you attend a class.

Do I need any prior experience to join your classes?No prior experience is necessary for most of our classes. Victoria caters to all fitness levels to suit all abilities.

How do I sign up for a class?You will be invited to a WhatsApp group chat where we post upcoming classes. You can then opt in or out from there.

What should I bring to the swimming classes?A swimsuit, towels, goggles and a swim cap. We will provide any extra equipment you may need for a session.

Are the instructors certified?Victoria Barber is the main instructor, She graduated in 1997 with a degree in Sports Science and Business Studies from Manchester Metropolitan University. She is a fully qualified British Triathlon Coach. She also has a NOWCA Level 2 STA in open water swimming.

What should I bring to a HIIT class?Bring a water bottle, towel and comfortable workout clothes. We provide all the equiptment you will be using in a class.

What is HIIT circuit and weight training?HIIT (High-Intensity Interval Training) involves short bursts of intense exercise followed by rest or low-intensity exercises. It's designed to improve cardiovascular fitness, build muscle and burn fat efficiently.

How long do the HIIT circuit and weight training sessions last?Each session is 1 hour long including a warm-up and cool-down period. There is also the opportunity to attend back to back classes.

What if I have an injury or medical condition?Please consult with your doctor before participating in any exercise program. Inform your instructor of any injuries or conditions so they can provide alternative exercises.

What are the benefits of open water swimming?Open water swimming offers a full-body workout, improves cardiovascular health, builds endurance and provides a unique and invigorating experience compared to pool swimming.

Do I need to be a strong swimmer to join?While some swimming ability is required, our classes are designed to accommodate various skill levels. Beginners are welcome, and our instructors will provide guidance and support.
